Dear All,

I would like to announce that this will be Gallop  Magazine’s FINAL ISSUE.

Gallop first began some 9 years ago – July/August 2002 when Diane Inglis & I (Lorraine Jaundrell) first set about bringing you your very own local horse magazine. Due to sad circumstances I have now given this matter great thought and will be putting closure to our small…but friendly magazine.

For all our reader’s/advertisers who actually know me (Lorrie) personally you may be aware that my BIG Sis – Yvonne had been battling Cancer for the past two years. Sadly Yvonne’s brave battle came to an end on the 29th June when she peacefully passed away in Stepping Hill Hospital.

Yvonne left this earth plain leaving behind a young Son – Connor & an array of her exquisite collection of Arabian horses. With this all in mind I have took the decision to give all my time too caring for Connor & my Family & Yvonne’s treasured possessions – Kaz, AZ-Zeem, KA-Zeem, Katie, Candy & Hamira…along with my own little brood too!

Therefore this final issue of Gallop is in memory and dedicated to my lovely big Sister – YVO. Back in 2002 Gallop’s very first front cover was of my Sister’s beautiful Arabian Stallion – Az, here we bring this cover to life once again along with a collection of images of Yvonne and her Arabians.

I would like now to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Gallop over the past 9 years. All our reader’s…advertisers….retail customers who stocked Gallop within their store. I would also like to thank all the contributors who helped with all the content within Gallop and all the photographers who always very kindly allowed Gallop to publish their work. Again….many thanks too you all.

As for our final issue for Late Summer 2011– Issue N0:55, you will all see we have only published the magazine via the internet. This issue’s pages will be available very soon as down loadable pdfs, via our face book page & by emailing: lorriegallop@aol.com

As a final thank you for all your support Gallop’s final issue will be available free of charge.

All we ask is for our reader’s who do wish to contribute to the costs of collating this issue that you can forward the usual cover price of £1.75 via cheque payable to Gallop Magazine or via PayPal at lorriegallop@aol.com

All remaining profits from this issue will then be forwarded to: Macmillan Cancer Care.
